Mega MillionsMany people play their state lottery faithfully every week in order to increase their chances of becoming the next multi-millionaire and living out their dreams of being rich so they don’t have to work or want for anything. Of course everyone knows that money can’t buy love or happiness, but it can go a long way to fix some of people’s individual financial problems, especially in today’s economic climate.

The latest lottery game to hit the scene is the Mega Millions lottery game in which a player has a chance to win millions of dollars playing their favorite or lucky numbers. The Mega Millions lottery game is similar to the Power Ball lottery game in that it is played in many different states but not all states. The Mega Millions online allows people from those states that do not have a Mega Millions lottery outlet in their neighborhood or in their state to play online in order to have a chance at major bucks.

Playing Mega Millions online is just like playing the lottery at the corner store, bowling alley or supermarket, only your tickets are reserved inside the computer until the numbers are called on Tuesday or Friday night and if you are a lucky winner, then you can print out the tickets to turn them in at the Mega Millions Lottery office.

There are 36 states that currently participate in the Mega Millions lottery and they are: Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Washington, DC, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. However, it doesn’t matter which state you live in, you can play the Mega Millions lottery game and win. Proceeds go back to the state the winning ticket was purchased from. For example, if a person in Wyoming purchases a Mega Millions ticket from Texas and wins, then the proceeds from the winning ticket go back to the Texas Mega Millions ticket office to help offset the costs in addition to helping governmental services.
