In today’s downward economy, with the housing crisis forcing many families into foreclosure and the jobless rate reaching into the double digits as of the end of last year, people need to take care of themselves and look their best even if they don’t feel that well about their situation.  This may be why a highlights South Tampa, Florida beauty salon continues to do a brisk business even in the souring economy.

People, especially women, believe that their looks are tied to their self-esteem and when they look better they feel better.  Whether this is a proven fact or not is yet to be decided.  Some research has been completed by different organizations on the effects of self-esteem and how a person looks or feels on a particular day.
